A restoration group at The Yankee Air Museum are searching for a HS-8Be engine for an airplane that they are building. The airplane is a full scale S.P.A.D. XIII.C1 being built from Replicraft & original (copies) of S.P.A.D. plans. The airplane is going to be airworthy & flyable. The group needs a running (preferable) or a serviceable (repairable) complete engine.
The build state of the airplane is:
Tail feathers are complete & covered & painted.
Fuselage is completed & turtle deck & bottom are covered.
Wings are 25% complete.
The finding of an engine is an utmost priority for the group and any help would be appreciated.
