Hi ,
I find that the information concerning this city is few and far between anything acceptable to family history or genealogy. I am not sure as to why there has not been an indepth research done on this famous area and its people.
My ancester Col. William Henry Gwynn was a prominent member of this area and was proprieter to the Cataract House from 1871 through 1912 and yet there is not a smidgin of history on him. Where did he attain the title of Col.
He was also a cigar manufacturer of ''Gwynn,s Golden Gems '' cigars but there is no information that there even was a cigar factory in this area.
Can anyone fill me in on the real history of Coehoes Falls and its people.
Thanks ,
Roy
