Hi
I am looking for some answers regarding differences of Hot Rolld I and H Beams contra Sub Arc welded I and H Beams.
Are the properties the same, or is there any difference ?
In case of difference is there any kind of factor to multiply with, so welded I and H beams gets the same properties as Hot rolled ?
The case is, that all thicknesses/dimensions of Hot rolled beams, will be used with same thicknesses/dimensions in the welded beams. Same steel grade, and material is based on Hot rolled steel plates.
The welded beams will be used as a factory building up to 4 floors high.
The welded beams will be produced in an automatic sub arc beam welding line.
I have been looking for answers to this for long time, but can't find any documentation. Can anyone provide that to me ?
Regards
Morten
