Lots here in US and I know China has a lot. Just google it and I am sure you will get an idea. I live in NE PA and there is a lot of anthrocite coal here. I could get you a ball park estimate here but the world would take some work.

There are at least thirty large open pit mines in countries worldwide. However it's very difficult to answer a question such as this.
