I've read quite a few articles about Howard Unruh, and I
understand he's still in a locked cell in the Trenton
Psychiatric Hospital, which is where he's been for 60 years,
ever since he committed the mass murder of 13 people in
Camden, New Jersey, on September 6, 1949. Nobody should be
locked up like an animal for 60 years, no matter what he
did. At his current age of 88 years, he should be put in
some type of private housing for a man his age. It does
society no good to treat this man like a wild animal. I
think that it is incredible that he has survivied this long
under these conditions. I doubt that the average person could have lived half this long under similar conditions.
