Was victimized by nsp while traveling for business...following traffic stop, was interrogated and compelled to wait at roadside for canine investigation w/o any stated cause, in retaliation for denial of search consent...canine unit made indication for contraband, and i was arrested w/o warrant...search was fruitless, because there wasn't and never were any illegal materials in vehicle...no explanation was offered for failure to locate source of dog's indication, nor as to how said indication could have been in error...

a perusal of nsp news releases finds them very heavy on drug seizures arising from pretextual stops...i suppose some are quite proud of these accomplishments, but it all smacks of popular consent to police state tactics...

regardless of popular appeal, these practices will inevitably skate to0 close to the constitutional abyss
