I am planning to go to a NY philharmonic concert, and was wondering if the infamous acoustics in Avery Fisher Hall are really that terrible. I have been to the Symphony Hall in Boston and obviously the acoustics there are legendary, and I'm not thinking that the Avery Fisher Hall acoustics are going to be on par with Boston, but are they really that bad that it isn't worth going? (I'm planning on sitting in the center 3rd tier)
