I have an old Webster's Dictionary and it does not have a copyright date but it has a page with all the state flags which at that time was 43 states. I was wondering the date of this book and if it is anything of value?

The 43rd state entered the union in 1890 and the 44th state was also admitted to the union in 1890. So my best guess would be your dictionary was printed around 1890 or shortly thereafter. Does it show an edition or look like a first edition? Value depends on a lot of factors. Is it signed or worn or does it look new? Is it a first edition and how many copies were printed? That kind of thing determines value along with the popularity of the book itself. I find a lot of books printed around 1890-1910 and most are not very valuable but they are fun to collect. If you do decide to part with it send me some pics of it as I'd love to take a look at it.

Thanks,
Karen
