I have been in china once. I think it three years ago. My nephew and I visited your country by our own travel book reading. From hongkong where we got our visa to enter the mainland china we proceded to Beijing and Shainghai. At that time we were hesitant to visit other cities for the fear that we might get arested by the chinese police. Is it now possible to go anywhere in china without the possibility of being aprehended from the fact that as a former cummunist country, there are some places that are off limit to foreigners like us? I really want to see other places in china aside from big cities.

I'm pleased to reply your question.Could I know which country you come from?Coincidently I live in Xi'an,which is one of China's most famous tourist city.No limits exist here and as well in most place of each province of China we can see a lot of foreign travellers everyday.What I mean is you can fully enjoy your trip to China like any trip to anywhere---America,Japan,UK or any country.It is legal and the foreign travellers in China are protected by our laws.All you need are just adequate bucks,your visa and passport :)

And in China the place forbidden to go is very hard to find.Like America or South Korean or some other countries,Chinese government locate parts of military buildings far away from the city.Only these restricted areas I advise you not to step in(and it's totally hard for its powerful guards and always-vigorous watch dogs :D).
