I scanned the dial and couldn't find them ---I hope it's not satellite radio or another market. 'Can't imagine them not staying in San Diego!

DSC off the air due to botched contract negotiation. Radio said good money offered but turned down by DSC. KGB saying they're gone. Maybe they'll show up on pay radio.

Huh,
Early in their carrer, KGB botched negotiations, and DSC ended-up on ROCK105. KGB rued that one, and bought them back asap.
It may end-up the same way.
Caveat: Back then, all the stations were independent in SD. Now, Clear Channel owns everyone!
KGB really IS the DSC Show. They were on for 9 hours a day (repats at night, et al.). That station is toast. The problem is that CC probably doesn't care if one of their umpteen stations goes south.
DSC always wanted to stay local and un-syndicated (and non-satellite). 5% chance that a 'mexican' station picks them up.
'Good Money'. Hmm...
In CC's eyes, maybe. I am a pure capitalist, so I say whatever the market will bear. I just suspect that CC offered less that DSC's actual worth and (since they ARE the only owners in town) said 'adios' when DSC refused their offer. I am not so worried about the pricipals, but how are Ruth and Boyer going to make it without this gig? They are probably marginally employable in any other sitch.
No offense, Guys!
Godspeed, Jonny! (the name of my new band)
