Hi Jeff... This isn't something that I would normally do, but feel the need at this time. I read one time that you attended Carquinez grade school in Crockett. I,too, attended that school for 9 years (including kindergarten). If you did, you would certainly remembered Jim Colello, 8th grade teacher. He was the best teacher I've ever had. So innovative and ahead of his time, much to the dislike of parents. He was always involved with students and could always be found at lunch time playing football, basketball or baseball with the older students. He's had cancer for some time and was informed this week that he had passed away earlier this month. More than just a mentor, he was a "mover & shaker". Being the "sports" enthusiast that you are, I'm sure you would have remembered him if the information of you attending that school was accurate. Just thought you might be interested in knowing..
