I've married a hunter. I know, forgive me. For the last 5 years, I've been shooting a compound bow with him and become quite good. But the one oddity is that while I'm a right-handed person, I'm left-eye dominant. So I have to shoot a left-handed bow. It's never been a problem because I had never shot before, so I didn't have any bad habits to break. Now I'd like to start rifle hunting with him and am looking to buy my own rifle and shotgun. But the question now arises: Do I need to shoot a gun left-handed, too, because of the eye situation? Or with a gun would it be different? I do shoot his muzzle loader which is sighted in for him and his right eye. I have to seriously adjust the sight to make it work, but I can make it work. But before investing in my own guns, I want to get it right. Since very few dealers down here carry left-handed guns for me to try before buying, I was hoping for some educated answers. Thanks.
