Hello to all, My name is Morris Croghan.
My father was "Maurice" Croghan of the 1937-38 Montreal Maroons.
He played defense with the Maroons (16 games) in their last season.
While his name was not "Maurice" (he picked that up in Quebec city) he let it stand throughout his career.
He probably prefered it to Moses, his given name. He was also refered to as "Morris" or "Moe" Croghan.
I have a few photos of him with various teams throught his career, that I hope to post soon, Royals,Aces,Maroons.
I have a letter from Club de Hockey Canadien Inc.
1424 Rue Closse, dated Oct 2 1939 asking him to report for training Oct 16 room 123, Windsor Hotel, Montreal, signed Jules Duga??? secretary. I also have a period hockey card and some old correspondances.
