The Military Indusrial [Congressional] Complex is a hungry beast that cannot be controlled. The MIC/Department of Defense carries over 1,000,000 people worldwide in employment. The Mic also maintains huge economic support for many nations (ex:our presence in Okinowa constitutes 25% of their total income! Here in the U.S. the MIC has over 700,000 civilian workers...where would people go if the budget faced huge cutbacks? My point is that the MIC must be maintained as it employs too many people, other economies and maintains U.S. ideals and safety throughout the world. I do not support things the way they are. Imagine how that money could assist in medical care, education, social works and more. We could almost destroy poverty and more people could step into vocational trainings and college. Nevertheless, as it is today, the MIC cannot be stopped or even controlled; it is a monster. Please offer feedback.
