Hydrofan
According to one source the Elk River, Minnesota Hydroelectric Plant had a 200-horsepower turbine. Likely that would mean there was a 149-kilowatt or 186-kva (149-kw/.80pf)generator connected to said turbine. Were there three 75-kva 2300-v/33,000-v transformers, or one 225-kva transformer, in the substation behind the powerhouse? Anybody know?
In the picture I have of the dam and power plant from the 1940s or 1950s it looks like there were two 2300-volt feeders, and a 33,000-volt transmission line, coming out of the substation.
