Earwig

My winter firewood has been piled outside all summer and I am now moving it into the woodshed. I seem to have a resident colony of earwigs living in and under the outside piled wood. When I take a wheelbarrow load inside, the bottom of the wheelbarrow is crawling with earwigs when I empty out the wood. This leads me to believe some of the ugly little creatures are still in the wood piled inside. Will they live through the cold winter and come in with the wood when I fill my two inside woodboxes, or will they die in the cold? I don't like the idea of them re-animating in the inside heat and take up inside residence. I have had wood heat for 3 or 4 years, but this is the first time I recall them being in the wood when I put it in the woodshed. Any advice????
