Pull them out like sheep for the slaughter, and prepare them for the day of slaughter.
Jeremiah 12- 3

Thou art my battle axe and weapons of war: for with thee will I break in pieces the nations, and with thee will I destroy kingdoms;
And with thee will I break in pieces the horse and his rider; and with thee will I break in pieces the chariot and his rider;
With thee also will I break in pieces man and woman; and with thee will I break in pieces old and young; and with thee will I break in pieces the young man and the maid;

When you look through any holy book, regardless if it is the Siddur, Tanakh, Talmud, Qu'ran, Hadith, Old Testament, and New Testament, which has the quotations of Jesus Christ, just like the Hadith has the quotations of the Prophet Mohammed. They all give examples of coexisting with your fellow human beings. They also give examples of war, because when they were all written war was a way of life, just like today. I would rather use the Tanakh, Bible, Qu'ran, and Hadith as examples of coexisting with my fellow human beings. Because a hadith says "You will not find faith, until you love your brother as much as you love yourself." All Muslim clerics I have spoken to define "brother" as all of humanity.

Dear TimUp,
i know what you mean. I'm a Muslim. i believe religion is the best way to human happiness,bliss and welfare...so i have accepted Islam, and it have learned me to respect all religions,Christianity, Judaism... it have learned me to trust god,and love him,,, to love humanity...
but it have also learned me any time i couldn't fined my way,in doubt to any command i have to think my self.
gods order can't be in contrast with intellect...
i can see Qu'ran i can read my history, and i can tell you NEVER even against Muslims worst enemies there is no such order's. my prophet was always opposed to looting and destruction...For example I'm referring to the orders of the conquest of Jerusalem.
I know that Muslims have fought sometimes unfair like in iran but it is a Arabs fault not islam.

The biggest challenge to Dar al-Islam now, is between those who want Islam to be a part of humanity, and those who want to deface it. Mohammed Morsi wants to continue honoring the 1979 peace accords with Israel, but the Salafists who have been fighting Hamas in Gaza, have spilled across the border into Egypt. Both Egypt and Israel are now fighting the same enemy, so the peace between the two countries has to be maintained. That peace has to be extended into Gaza as well. With Hamas announcing they will recognize the pre-1967 borders, and offering Hebrew in Gaza schools, hopefully that can lay the foundation for peace between Gaza and Israel. President Abdullah Gul of Turkey has called upon Hamas to recognize the State of Israel. So both Dar al-Islam and Israel need to unite together, to fight those who want to deface Islam. The Salafists are a part of Al Qaeda, and Al Qaeda defaced Islam. This is more of a greater challenge than when Shiite split off from Sunnite. It will always be a debate over who is the rightful Caliph is, but what is going on now, is not a battle over the right Caliph, but Islam within humanity, or being outside of it.
