I've searched high and low but are still unclear on a few matter to do with monocytes.

When phagosytosis occurs and the remains of the foreign body are released back into the blood stream, what happens?

Is it only the functions that changes when a monocyte becomes a macrophage?

Can anyone give me a link regarding the stimulation of immune system responses and activiation of T and B lymphocytes by the monocyte?
