Unfortunately there are several errors in the post on this subject. The car that almost bankrupted Cisitalia was the Porsche designed Cisitalia Grand Prix car, called the Tipo 360 -- NOT the Cisitalia 202MM, which was quite successful. Dusio put up his own fortune to bail Dr. Porsche out of a French Prison (for war crimes) and in return Porsche was to design a Grand Prix car for Cisitalia. The project's costs kept rising and Dusio kept pouring in the money, but the car never ran successfully. This fatally damaged the Cisitalia company but the money paid by Dusio and Cisitalia to Porsche allowed them to go into production with the Porsche car.
