Does anyone know anything about Harvey Kavaner and the red river cereal? I know he invented the cereal but I don't know where he was born or anything about his life if anyone knows anything about him could you let me know

Harvey Kavaner's name appears on the food patent for Red River Cereal filed in 1927 but it was actually his wife, Gertrude Edna Skilling Kavaner who invented the cereal in 1924 in their Winnipeg kitchen. She experimented with various combinations of grains with her hand (meat) grinder until she came up with the perfect formula. The cereal was presented at the 1926 CNE and samples given out by family members. She was my husband's 'Aunt Gert' and deserves credit for this wholesome cereal we still enjoy. I think Harvey was born in Ontario and died in BC.
