Sign of Jonah part 2#
Many have said through the years that Peter, James, and John, were the inner circle but the true facts are that the true inner circle was (Jonah, Elias, and Simon Bar-Jonas).
This message actually started by understanding that a question was in order, Why did Jesus use a generational descendent name ( Barjona) in a prophesy to Peter unless it meant something much deeper spiritually than we realized? Also Simon Peter was the only one recorded in scripture to be called by his descendent name by Jesus.
Then this made me think concerning the prophetic parable he spoke to the scribes and Pharisees ( No sign shall be given to this generation but of the prophet Jonah) and then it started to open up to me that these questions were to open up why the plan of salvation was named after Jonah and was continued through Simon Barjona (Peter) so that said ministry could be finished in the tribulation period by Jonah to fulfill Jesus prophesy to the leaders of the people.
Generational mistakes also followed Peter from Jonah, Jonah didn't want to preach outside his own country but was told of God to preach repentance to Nineveh, and Peter's vision of the animals on the sheet was also about preaching outside of his country to the gentiles, all happened in Joppa to both of them, and import village on the coast of the Mediterranean which is the birth place of the revelation of world evangelism because of this. Also Joppa was the place of importing the materials to build the Temple of Solomon, and the rebuilding of it, which all together shows the building of the church of Christ by the outreach of evangelism as you connect these thoughts spiritually. But also fulfills the prophesy of Jesus to Peter concerning the building of the church of Christ upon his ministry.
This teaches the stronghold of 790 years of spiritual heritage to us, as we see Peter, as a fisherman by trade inherit his ministry and become a fisher of men, and third witness of the salvation plan, but also who the real inner circle really was. When we look in faith at
