Someone I know is building a straw bale house, and while he is building it he is living in a trailer. We live in northern Ontario, Canada so the winters are quite cold consequently he has a wood stove that he uses for heat. Obviously the trailer is poorly insulated so he has surrounded the trailer with straw bales. There is a metal roof over everything but the bales are not sinched down and compressed. Is this a dangerous situation from a fire hazard point of view.
