Space and time or spacetime

Starting from the supposition that time does not exist (posts elsewhere re this). ie what you call time is just the binding of energy within matter.
Another quite startling thought occured, I have still not wrapped my thoughts around this.

Take a point source and twist it into three dimensions from this you get 'Spacetime' (point source is beginning of the universe)
More literally imagine a three dimensional axis and place a flat sheet of paper centred on the axis then twist it into three dimensions (ie sphere). Imagine arrows/paths running back along the line of propagation this is what you call time.
The resulting or described concept is that distance does not exist.

Any comments ideas re this would be appreciated?
