I am currently researching my MA paper on 'Technology & The Artisan' (with focus on the traditional bespoke footwear sector vs. technological advances within technology: orthopaedic/medical/sports and rapid prototyping etc.
I have always been fascinated on consumer psychology, in particular with application to semiotics and brand perception. Within this project the element of nostalgia has been realised as a strong element in purchasing behaviour/loyalty.
I would love to hear some of your thoughts on this element or my research, as I am sure that it is an element that is coming to light increasingly, as technology ephemeralization occurs.
