He graduated at the top of his class from the Army Staff College in 1915, and was promoted to the rank of captain.

I KNOW IT WAS ABOUT 27 YEARS LATER, BUT I WONDER IF TOJO HAD ANYTHING TO DO WITH THE NANKING MASSACRE.
