I feeleth lyk using my favorite quote of all time that came from Twelfth Night. I have never found the reason this was said in the middle of a sword fight.
"In nature there's no blemish but the mind;
none can be called deformed but the unkind."
This stuck to me as an audience member. I costumed this play for Will Geer years ago so I attended all rehearsals. This was one of 8 plays I did for him. When I was in England in 1989, I saw the play in Stratford.
BTW, my Malvolio was Richard Moll (Night Court Bull) and he stole the show.

I have directed it in community theater here in northern New Mexico three times. It is my favorite Shakespeare play. The speech that always "tears me up" is Viola's "Make me a willow cabin at your gate . . ."
(Act 1 Sc 5)
I always thought that Sir Toby Belch is an ur-Falstaff.

Brother and sister Viola and Sebastian, who are not only very close but look a great deal alike, are in a shipwreck, and both think the other dead. When she lands in a foreign country, Viola dresses as her brother and adopts the name Cesario, becoming a trusted friend and confidante to the Count Orsino. Orsino is madly in love with the lady Olivia, who is in mourning due to her brother's recent death.
