UNRELIABLE PRIORITY MAIL SERVICE

I mailed legal documents thru priority mail service earlier in December 2010 and was delivered after four days. In another case my husband dispatched an envelope that arrived as guranteed. Considering that the delay in the first package was an isolated incident, I again sent legal documents thru Priority AM delivery. However, this time the package has gone missing and Canada Post has no clue where it went. The only information anyone has that it has been received at the post office.

Through indirect contacts, it was known that since the Priority AM service is in conflict with Purolator services [another poor courier supported by Canadapost] some of the employees within Canadapost are trying to discredit the Priority AM service so that Purolator revenues are not affected.

Unfortunately the managemant of CanadaPost is not very receptive of the problems to the customers.

In my case a service ticket has been created and I have been advised that investigation is been carried out and that the liability of CanadaPost is limited to the postage paid.

I strongly suggest to everyone to stop using CanadaPost and Purolator for important documents and look for alternate means such as Fedex, UPS and other courier services.
