I am an amatuer geneaologist. While researching the names of family members I came across (great uncle)Isadore Miller listed in the 1880 census as Pike Contractor. At the time he was living with his brother Henry who was listed as working on the Pike in Byrd Twp., Brown Co., Ohio. Has anyone heard of the expression "The Pike" pertaining to US 68?
