I have enrolled for croydon college to do access to nursing in septmeber 2011. I have been inreceipt of income support since ending June 2011. Croydon college has asked me to pay £1100 for my tuition fee (shocking) i was wondering why would croydon college ask to pay so much money when students on income support are single parents. Anyway getting to the point the cousre is full-time 4 days out the week plus i have a kid to take care of plus i have to find a part-time job to pay my tuition fee, what time would i have to do all that.
anyways i found out the croydon done this unpurpose because i contatcted my MP jane ellison and south thames college who does the same cuorse for just £130 and i also found out there are catergoies where people on benefit would be placed in.
catergory 1. for people on jobseekers allowance and employment and support allowance where students only pay for registration fees
catergory 2. for perople on income support (like myself), new deal etc and they pay for registration and exam fees
but the point is that croydon college is not doing that they're asking us to pay so much money
