I have a 1999 chevy 1500 suburban 4wd with a bad 5.7 vortec. i can buy a 2000 vortec in an identical vehicle. the junkyard says it wont go unless i take the trns and transfer case etc. and swap those as well. can anyone tell me more about this?? i think the engine and computer should work without all the rest but not totally sure and cant affordto make a big mistake$$ help!
