This one must be one of the smallest ones:
- Equatorial Guinea (based on territory and population (500,000 people) in West Africa
And there are a few little countries in Latin America:
- El Salvador
- Costa Rica
- Panama
- Puerto Rico (if you count it as independent country)
And otherwise of one these: Uruguay, Ecuador, Dominican Republic
