I like the 93-98 993 (last of the air cooled 911s) as it has the windshield, roof and doors that date back to 74 and the 5 gauge cluster that goes way back. However, its tilted back headlights are aerodynamic, it has dual exhaust, 6-speed manual transmission, a rear suspension aluminum subframe that has rubber mounts to the body shell, a bit longer wheelbase than earlier models, updated heating and air conditioning, a good looking body, good build quality (solid), and reasonable fuel 'economy.' Traditional yet modern and quite dependable.
