Years ago the virgin Mary apeared to Juan Diego in the dessert of Guadalupe at winter time. She had a message for him. She wanted all the people of Guadalupe to change thier ways and convert to christians. When he told the people of the town they did not believe him and wanted proof. So then he went back to the dessert and the Virgin Mary appeared to him again and he told her that his messsage had failed and the people wanted proof. She told him to turn around and gather the roses and take them to the priest of the town and to tell him to build her a church there so that the people could praise her son Jesus and convert to christian faith. He told her that they were in the middle of the dessert at winter time and thier are no flowers in the dessrt. She told him to turn around and then she faded away. When he turnd around there were many roses on the ground. He began to pick them and gather them in his apron. He took them to the priest and when he let his apron go to show the roses, the roses fell to the floor and the image of the virgin Mary was imprinted on his apron. Then the people belived because he had proof and the colors on the apron were of none that they had seen before. That church was built and is still standing to this day with the original apron of now Saint Juan Diego with the imprint still on it. Many people travel all the way to Guadalupe Mexico to see the apron and the church. The name of the church is Our Lady of Guadalupe. "Our Lady" stands for The Virgin Mary. The virgin Mary has appeared to others in many different ways. When someone says "a virgin de Guadalupe sighting" they mean that she has appeared to them the way she looked when she appeared in Guadalupe.
