The root cause of this is that Israel (inclusive of Palestine) was together as British Mandate of Palestine before freedom. When they got freedom they got freedom as that same unit. They should have been divided and then broken up.

Yes, it should have been divided as per the wishes of the people of the areas of conflict.

Several thousand years ago, Esau sold his brother Jacob, his birthright for a plate of lentil stew. Ever since that exchange, Arabs, the descendants of Esau, have been trying to regain the birthright. They think if they kill all the descendants of Jacob (Jews) They will get the birthright back, by default. It ain't gonna happen!!!

IOW, the middle east conflict, like the feud between the Hatfields and McCoys, is a generations old blood feud. Neither side really remembers what the conflict is about, but, at least one side feels they are right to carry it on.

The US simply got into the middle of a family argument, which the family doesn't want resolved.

Before the creation of modern Israel, the people of jewish belief had spread already over many parts of the world. Reasons for that? There must have been better living conditions elsewhere. Unfortunately, a large majority of them did not integrate with the people of host countries. Why? Because of cultural and religion differences. Emigrating and not integrating where one goes is pure stupidity. How can it be expected that people bred in the host country over generations would like to be transformed through another cultural society because another religious/ cultural group arrives and chooses to live there? The creation of modern Israel was a poorly thought out idea. The active forces behind the execution of the idea were Zionists and the Britisch. This is not an exceptional example of british international politics where the follow-up that was needed had been neglected.

Not too difficult really. The problem of animosity between Arabs and Jews in the region could not be solved amicably after the second world war by the British Government (who had the UN mandate for the region at the time) so the problem was sent for arbitration to the UN (this to my mind is what the UN is for). All the participating countries of the world had an opportunity to vote (Britain abstained). The vote went for the creation of a state of Israel. For me a deal is a deal everybody had their oppotunity, the vote was taken somebody won somebody lost.
The only problem was (and still is) that the Arabs didn't like the result and launched several wars to eradicate the state of Israel.
The problem for them is that Israel has, since its creation organised itself into the biggest military power in the region (which is what I would have done I think if surrounded by several countries who want my extinction).

Good reply. I had read a book that said that Isreal had been given a land and Palistinians were given a land. But the land that the Palastinians were given, they didn't want. So to make them happy they gave them Isreals land. The land that the Palastinians didn't want, Isreal took and made it to be prosperous. The land that the Palastinians were given stayed the same, in other words nothing good came out of it. Since that time Isreal has produce outstanding scientists, teachers, colleges, businesses, and so on. Palestinians or their ancesters were also begining to produce the same. But after they became warbent against the Isrealites they now want to take what they didn't work for. Also, they haven't really acheived much since they began calling themselves Palastinians.

The Arab and Muslim nation taking land that they knew G-d gave to the Jews. This brought the crusades and it brought the Arab Israeli wars.

That god argument is pretty thin when both sides use it. In any case, god didn't give it to them, she gave it to me. The bible I translated says so.

My point is really that Jews, Muslims and Christians all worship the same god. They all share prophets. They are all simply a divergence of the same thing. God didn't give Israel to the Jews, the British did. God supposedly gave the land of Israel to the Hebrews, not to the Jews. There is a difference.

All of the people of the area share their ancestry. Each claim they are right. Each claim god meant them. Each claim their opinion and interpretation is the right one.

As is with any conflict "Fear"

In this day and age one would think humankind has learnt from past expierience in resolving conflict.

As long as we as a species (humankind) continue to segregate ourselves using nationality ,race, gender, wealth and religious beliefs thereby creating a Consciousness that one or the other has more of a right to exist, the solution which presents itself will be dismissed.

The 'will' of humankind used to create a better world for those that come after us free of conflict as we have lived and known it from one generation to the other can only be accomplished by going forward without any prejudice towards one another.

As I see you through my eyes so am I.

The only root cause of the conflict between Palestine and Israel is the Holy Land Jerusalem. (Refer the National Anthem of Israel then try to understand it). Many Arab countries wanted to reclaim that capital and even the Rome of which they considered it as international capital of the world thus no absolute right to possess by the Israeli alone. Why? This place is originated with the 3 religions - Judaism, Christianity and Islam. Actually it was prophesied the nation Israel has no room for constant peace until the second coming of Christ. But take note, Israel has the right to exist as a nation.
