If you had a clone of your kids, wife, mom, dad, etc.and they died they would still be with you.

Potential immortality.
1) Grow a clone of yourself. This will age naturally.
2) After 16 years remove the central nervous system.
3) Replace with your own.
4) Repeat every 40 years or so.
The younger body will be genetically identical so no rejection should occur.
Ofcourse immortality is just an abstract concept. The heat death of the universe kills off that plan even if you don't slip in some mud and crack your head open first.
The brain isn't usually the cause of death in adult human beings but its potential longevity in a perfectly healthy body is unknown.
