There wasn't a lot of armored warfare in the Korean War, which made it different from WW II. The terrain of Korea made it impossible for heavy tanks to get through.

Korea was one of the last wars to employ propellor-powered fighters. The North Koreans began using Soviet fighters in 1950; in some cases these were piloted by Soviet pilots.
