When I was younger(1985), I took guitar lessons from someone who said he was Elvis' lead guitarist. His name was Al Randloph. He was living in Moneta, Bedford, VA. He had a beautiful autographed guitar by Elvis, and he even had pictures of Elvis, him, and all of the band members in his office, but I have looked everywhere for him, but I cannot find him anywhere. Did he tell me the truth about being in Elvis' band or did he lie to me? Can you stear me in the right direction?

Do you mean "Randolph"? With either spelling I have never heard of Al Randloph. I know that Elvis' guitarist in the fifties and sixties was Scotty Moore. On RCA recording sessions in the sixties, several session guitarists were known to have played on Elvis' recordings. (Hank Garland and others). No guitar player with the name Randolph was used that I can recollect. I guess that it is possible that someone with that name played guitar for Elvis at his Vegas concerts, or maybe on his movie soundtrack recordings in Hollywood. Perhaps someone else out there can provide further info?
