Salaam To Everyone:

I know Muslim Leaders and Scholars have different 'Definitions' of 'Muslims'...which go well with their own interpretations of 'Islam' and justisfies their 'Sectarian Approaches'.

Why not ask Quran "Who is Muslim?" ( I will not write a single word to interpret the meanings of these Ayaat..and leave the judgment to the readers...we will discuss it later..Inshallah!)

Muslim ?

22:78And strive in His cause as ye ought to strive, (with sincerity and under discipline). He has chosen you, and has imposed no difficulties on you in religion; it is the cult of your father Abraham. It is He Who has named you Muslims, both before and in this (Revelation); that the Apostle may be a witness for you, and ye be witnesses for mankind! So establish regular Prayer, give regular Charity, and hold fast to God! He is your Protector - the Best to protect and the Best to help.

42:13 The same religion has He established for you as that which He enjoined on Noah - the which We have sent by inspiration to thee - and that which We enjoined on Abraham, Moses, and Jesus: Namely, that ye should remain steadfast in religion, and make no divisions therein: to those who worship other things than God, hard is the (way) to which thou callest them. God chooses to Himself those whom He pleases, and guides to Himself those who turn (to Him).

Muhammad s.a.w was also told to say this to people of his time..generally..who showed stubborn behaviour..by saying that they wouldn't leave the path of their pagan ancestors...
one of such example is... what Prophet Joseph said in Surah Yousaf...which was the Message of ALL MESSENGERS.

12:38 "And I followed instead the religion of my ancestors, Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob. We never set up any idols beside GOD. Such is the blessing from GOD upon us and upon the people, but most people are unappreciative.
12:39 "O my prison mates, are several gods better, or GOD alone, the One, the Supreme?
12:40 "You do not worship beside Him except innovations that you have made up, you and your parents. GOD has never authorized such idols. All ruling belongs to GOD, and He has ruled that you shall not worship except Him. This is the perfect religion, but most people do not know.

6:161 Say: "Verily, my Lord hath guided me to a way that is straight,- a religion of right,- the path (trod) by Abraham the true in Faith, and he (certainly) joined not gods with God."

Once we understand Who is Muslim..then we can 'realize' the meaninings of this..

3:85 If anyone desires a religion other than Islam (submission to God), never will it be accepted of him; and in the Hereafter He will be in the ranks of those who have lost (All spiritual good).

Once we understand what Muslim and Islam means we can understand what does being "Righteous" mean...

2:177] Righteousness is not turning your faces towards the east or the west. Righteous are those who believe in GOD, the Last Day, the angels, the scripture, and the prophets; and they give the money, cheerfully, to the relatives, the orphans, the needy, the traveling alien, the beggars, and to free the slaves; and they observe the Contact Prayers (Salat) and give the obligatory charity (Zakat); and they keep their word whenever they make a promise; and they steadfastly persevere in the face of persecution, hardship, and war. These are the truthful; these are the righteous.

Once we understand all this we can 'remind' our Christian and Jewish brothers and sister....what they have forgotten.
..and we can invite them to believe in Muhammad s.a.w.ALSO...The Last Prophet of Islam...

3:65 Ye People of the Book! Why dispute ye about Abraham, when the Law and the Gospel Were not revealed Till after him? Have ye no understanding? 3:66 Ah! Ye are those who fell to disputing (Even) in matters of which ye had some knowledge! but why dispute ye in matters of which ye have no knowledge? It is God Who knows, and ye who know not! 3:67 Abraham was not a Jew nor yet a Christian; but he was true in Faith, and bowed his will to God's (Which is Islam), and he joined not gods with God. 3:68 Without doubt, among men, the nearest of kin to Abraham, are those who follow him, as are also this Apostle and those who believe: And God is the Protector of those who have faith.

We can do all this..without JUDGING ANYBODY...as Allah is the FINAL AUTHORITY...we have NO RIGHT to call anyone KAFIR.
Allah's only OBJECTIVE is CALL HUMANS TO HIMSELF...ONE GOD..
and GOD IS "VERY SENSITIVE ABOUT IT"..(It's matter Ego/Prestige for Him...)

22:17 Those who believe (in the Qur'an), those who follow the Jewish (scriptures), and the Sabians, Christians, Magians, and Polytheists,- God will judge between them on the Day of Judgment: for God is witness of all things.

Compared to...

5:69 Those who believe (in the Qur'an), those who follow the Jewish (scriptures), and the Sabians and the Christians,- any who believe in God and the Last Day, and work righteousness,- on them shall be no fear, nor shall they grieve.

35:32 We passed the scripture from generation to generation, and we allowed whomever we chose from among our servants to receive it. Subsequently, some of them wronged their souls, others upheld it only part of the time, while others were eager to work righteousness in accordance with GOD's will; this is the greatest triumph.

The word "Muslim" means one who submits to the will of God. This is done by declaring that "there is no god except one God and Muhammad is the messenger of God." In a broader sense, anyone who willingly submits to the will of God is a Muslim. Thus, all the prophets preceding the prophet Muhammad are considered Muslims. The Quran specifically mentions Abraham who lived long before Moses and Christ that, "he was not a Jew or a Christian but a Muslim," because, he had submitted to the will of God. Thus there are Muslims who are not submitting at all to the will of God and there are Muslims who are doing their best to live an Islamic life. One cannot judge Islam by looking at those individuals who have a Muslim name but in their actions, they are not living or behaving as Muslims. The extent of being a Muslim can be according to the degree to which one is submitting to the will of God, in his beliefs and his actions.

1-Do we really need any Man-Made Doctrine to REACH.. ISLAM?

2-Didn't ISLAM spread on account of QURAN ONLY ...before HADITH got compiled about two centuries after the demise of Muhammad s.a.w... who himself forbade his Sahaba(Friends/Discilpes) to write down his 'sayings,?
(Didn't all compilers dis-obey Muhammad s.a.w.?)

3-Can you find a 'clue' what 'divided' 'Muslims'? (not 'Islam')

4- Do we really need any previous 'Scripture' to prove that Quran is 'right'?

5- Is Quran not'sufficient' to UNITE US ALL UNDER ONE RELIGION OF ALLAH-OUR ONE AND ONLY GOD?

6- Do we really need more 'miracles'/non-sense to make us SUBMIT to our God? Are we NOT too demanding ...too insulting...after the PERFECT MESSAGE has been revealed to us?

7- Do we really need any FORM of PROPHETS, New or Old, Genuine or Incarnated..to lead us back to QURAN? Are we really so blind.......?

8-Does Allah 'see' a 'label' of 'sect' only and doesn't 'know' what are we 'doing'?

9-Is 'Simple' Deen and Sunnah not enough to 'save' us..that we need 'false beliefs/myths' and bidah /innovations to earn more 'credit/sawab/thawab' form Allah?

10-Can we Muslim bring Peace in the world when we are fighting and killing each other?

Muslims struggle to reach hajr e Aswad (the black stone) by pushing eachother..they stone eachother instead of Satan..they never pick up any one if someones happen to fall in the the 'maddening crowd' at Hajj time. They want a label of 'Al-Haaj' to impress people that they have done mulitiple Hajjs, when only 'one' is necessary only if one can afford with one's own 'spare' money..They perform Hajj with Haraam money....They boast about the 'price' and 'health' of the animal they sacrify.Why???

2:130 And who 'forsakes' the religion of Ibrahim but he who makes himself 'a fool', and most certainly We chose him in this world, and in the hereafter he is most surely among the righteous.

2:131 When his Lord said to him, Be a 'Muslim', he said: I 'submit' myself to the Lord of the worlds.
