After a year with 103 squadron, my late father flew with 216 squadron in Bombays, Hudsons & C47s from 300641 to 310744. He was quite meticulous so his log book is complete. Do get in touch if you'd like any info., photos etc.

Kind regards

Would your father have known my grandfather? He was a wireless operator/air gunner in 216 squadron. His name was John Gibson (an Australian).

I have been trying to found out information about the squadron but have been unsuccessful to date?

Kind regards,

Kim Kyle

Hi Gibbo. My father was also a "wopag" and whilst his log book is complete, it only shows the name of the captain. His photo album includes a few people but usually identified by nicknames - Wooozle, Smudge etc. However I have a contact near Perth WA who was an Australian with 216. Email me direct if you'd like further information.
