1999 Trophée Lalique
Encyclopedia
The Trophée Lalique is an annual elite figure skating competition
which takes place in Paris, France. In the 1999–2000 season, it was the fourth of six events in the ISU Grand Prix of Figure Skating
series. The competition was named after the Lalique company, which was its chief sponsor for many years. The 2003 competition was the final year that Lalique was its title sponsor. Beginning in 2004, the competition was renamed the Trophée Eric Bompard after the Eric Bompard company. Due to the title changes, the competition is often referred to simply as the "Grand Prix of Paris" after its location rather than its sponsors. Regardless of the name, the format remained the same. Figure skaters compete in four disciplines: ladies' singles
, men's singles
, pairs
, and ice dancing
.
The 1999 competition took place between November 18th and November 20th, 1999.
