The season immediately saw Figline as a serious contender for the league title, and on 10 May, despite losing 1–0 in a Tuscan derby to Colligiana, Figline mathematically won the 2008–09 Lega Pro Seconda Divisione – B title in a second consecutive triumph for the gialloblu, who will now join Lega Pro Prima Divisione in the 2009–10 season.

On July 2010 the club was declared inactive to the FIGC after being refused entry to the Lega Pro Prima Divisione because of the large debts.

On August 2010 thanks to the Municipality A.S.D. Giallo-Blu Figline is the new team of the city.
