Adam's Venture is an episodic PC adventure game developed by Vertigo Digital Entertainment/Vertigo Games, a Dutch Indy developer located in the Netherlands.
Release
- Episode 1: "The Search for the Lost Garden", was released in June 2009 (Europe), Worldwide release: Q1 2010.
- Episode 2: "Solomon's Secret" was announced in January 2010 and released on April 8th 2011
Story
The player directs the young explorer Adam Venture on a quest for the long lost Garden of Eden. During these endeavors he will encounter fragments from the Bible and, through a variety of puzzles, learn about common Christian values.
Influences
It has been said by the developers that main influences are coming from the Indiana Jones movies written by George Lucas and directed by Steven Spielberg. Classic adventure games (such as Monkey Island, Indiana Jones) are also a big influence for the original soundtrack, as said by the composer of Adam's Venture, Jonathan vd Wijngaarden.
