. Carrio was born in 1986, a son of pianist parents. He started playing the instrument as a self-taught musician, when he was just 6 years old. His parents sent him to learn classical piano with Marina Santamarina, but kept also studying jazz for years as a self-taught musician. In 2005 he created his own band, Rendez-Vous Project, with Javier Rubio (tenor sax), David Casillas (bass) and Jaime Moraga (drums).
