Alma Söderhjelm was a Swedish-speaking Finnish
historian and the first female professor in Finland.
She had a docentship from 1906 to 1926. She was noted for her studies of the French Revolution

during the Revolution and as editor of the correspondence of the French Queen Marie Antoinette
with the Swedish nobleman von Fersen and with some French revolutionaries.
She was an occasional contributor to feature films, including co-scenarist for The Blizzard
