. Little is known about her, except that she did not leave Aman
and was friends with Eärwen

's wife. They had four children, namely Fingon

. She presumably still resides in Aman.
Anairë does not appear in the Silmarillion and Fingolfin is given three children but no wife in the genealogy. She is only mentioned in The History of Middle-earth
.
Even though Anairë was of the Noldor
, she did not go with her husband Fingolfin and their children to Middle-earth, but remained behind in Aman with Finarfin's wife Eärwen with whom she was great friends.
The name Anairë means Holiest in Quenya
. Airë="holy", An-=superlative prefix. As she never came to Middle-earth, she has no Sindarin
name.
