in this story that takes place between the second
and third seasons of the live-action series. It is considered a "missing adventure" during a period Sydney later erases from her memory in which she works undercover as an assassin named "Julia Thorne."
Despite how it was promoted in the teaser, the episode does not reveal anything that explains Sydney's missing time. It's merely a mission she undertook, and contains no background, or much information (not even about the mission portrayed).
The events of this short are considered canonical
with the live-action Alias series.

. He convinces her to remain undercover as Julia Thorne.
The short switches to animation. Rudolph Gaborno is shackled to a chair, being interrogated on video about a mysterious woman (Julia/Sydney). Gaborno tells how he was tasked to protect an artifact in Ibiza
. He has the artifact at a night club and in typical Alias fashion, "Julia" infiltrates the club and seizes the artifact, a key. She advises Gaborno to remain silent about her, otherwise she'll come back for him. Gaborno reveals that the woman actually stole a fake key and that he still has the real one. The tribunal adjourns to discuss his fate. While they're out, "Julia" breaks in and steals the real key. She also destroys the video camera that's recording the tribunal, despite Gaborno's protest that doing so will make the tribunal believe he's working with her. His fate is not known, though Gaborno suggests that without the evidence of his innocence, the tribunal will kill him.
The key may be a Rambaldi
artifact, one of a dozen keys that Sydney and Andrian Lazarey
use in the episode "Full Disclosure" to access a vault to obtain yet another Rambaldi artifact.
