BioVallée is a Belgian
association of research groups of the Université Libre de Bruxelles
(Brussels
) and the Université de Mons-Hainaut (Mons
) together with several biotech companies comprising a biotechnopole. It was founded in 2001 by the Walloon Region
as an interface between academic research and industrial applications. This has by now lead to three Spin-offs
: DELPHI GENETICS, DNAVISION and BV TRANSGENIC SERVICES. Professor Alex Bollen is the CEO of BioVallée.
