. In 2008, Hurricane Gustav destroyed the Coca-Cola concert stage, however, a new stage was built in time for the 2009 season. In the next 4 or 5 years the Army Corps of Engineers will help expand the theme park to make room for additional rides and a campground.
On July 11, 2010, a Layette women, 21-year-old Lindsay Zeno, fell approximately 30 feet off the Xtreme roller coaster. She died later that same day.

About Blue Bayou
Blue Bayou has 20 attractions including a lazy river, a behemoth bowl, a wave pool, a proslide tornado, and many other slides. Over the years, Blue Bayou has been adding new attractions. The newest attraction is Voodoo, an enclosed behemoth bowl which opened in 2008. Blue Bayou also refurbished two older slides the same year. About Dixie Landin'
Dixie Landin' was built in 1999. Some of its rides came from the now defunct Family Fun Fair Park which was located on Airline Highway. Dixie Landin' includes rides for all ages, including kiddie rides and thrill seeker rides. Dixie Landin' currently has 27 attractions, including an S&S combo drop tower, a log flume, four roller coasters and a variety of flat rides.
