Football career

Braga began his football career in 2002 at the age of 19 with his local boy hood club Salgueiros where he played there two years. He was mostly used as a substitute. In 2004 he moved onto Tirsense until 2006 and then to Leça

 until 2008.His big break through came in the summer of 2008 after he moved to Primeira Liga outfit Leixões where he had great success. During his first season he famously scored two late goals at the Estádio do Dragão

 for October 2008. He led his club in the first season to an impressive sixth place finish, just one place short of a European place. The next season proved to be tough for Braga as fruquent injuries saw him sidelined for half of the season in which he only managed 15 games. Leixões were eventually relegated in the 2009-10 season which led to a lot of interest from domestic clubs in the purchase of Braga. In the summer of 2010 he eventually signed for Rio Ave on a free transfer where so far he has in his first season he scored four goals in 21 games.
