Ciocîlteni is a commune in Orhei district, Moldova
. It is composed of three villages: Ciocîlteni, Clişova Nouă and Fedoreuca.

History. Ciocîlteni, is a beautiful location with big houses and friendly people. Located in the North East of the Orhei County (District), on the left bank of Raut river, at 22 km distance from Orhei (County Center) and 67 km from Capitol City Chisinau. Contemporan Historic Vl Nicu, based on the writings which belonged to Vasile Voievod of Moldovei, dated Mai 7, 1637, where the name of Boieroaicei (Milady) Moda from Ciocîlteni is mentioned, He affirms that the year of 1637 is the year of attestation of Ciocîlteni. But the Original history of the village is lost into the deep past. But toponymical Ciocîlteni,The Legenda says, that the name comes from Ciociltea, which could be a Last Name.
TopographyVillage is surrounded by valleys and hills, gardens, orchards, and vineyards (grape fields). Soil in Ciocilteni deviates, about 90% is fertile black soil used widely in agriculture, and is the base of rich harvests of Corn, Wheat, Barley, Sunflower, Sugar Beets, Alfa-Alfa, Sweet Fruits, Apples, Plums, Chery's, Sour Chery's, Walnuts, Apricots, Veggies and many other cultures. Agriculture is the main sours of Income. Summer droughts affect the plants growth and harvest yields as well. A good Irrigation system could actually change the whole picture for farmers and meet their expectations.
